Ocean Spray Hot Tubs & Saunas in Westhampton Beach is the backdrop of an episode of Bravo’s new series “Sell It Like Serhant.”

Ryan Serhant, from the cable entertainment network’s two-time Emmy-nominated show “Million Dollar Listing NY,” is the star of the show. In the real estate world, he is considered a sales powerhouse, alongside his associates with The Serhant Team at Nest Seekers International. According to the agency, Mr. Serhant sold more than $630 million in real estate in 2015.

Now, he wants to teach local industries—from Manhattan to the East End—his sales tricks in a slapstick and quirky way.

“It doesn’t matter what you’re selling—if you know your client and your product, a good salesperson can sell anything to anyone,” Mr. Serhant said in a statement.

The show first debuted in April. He’s known to teach with tough love and humor.

In the series’s fourth episode—which was scheduled to air on Wednesday, May 2, at 10 p.m.—Mr. Serhant helps Ocean Spray Hot Tubs & Saunas’ newest employee, Amanda Wolff of Patchogue, learn the ropes of selling hot tubs.

“He’s very outgoing and lively,” Ms. Wolff said. “He told me a lot about how to have fun with the customer during the sale: Make it a fun experience for them so it doesn’t even feel like a sales pitch.”

All of the filming was under the watchful eye of owner Joseph Musnicki.

“[Ms. Wolff’s] young. There is nothing wrong with that, but our typical buyer is probably between 50 to 60 years old. She’s in her 30s. She was a little shy on the way in, but very personable, you know. But she really didn’t know much about the [sales] business. We tried, of course, to train her. But when Ryan came in, he gave her a lot of self-confidence, and made the selling process more fun and not by the book,” Mr. Musnicki said.

The show’s producers considered between 500 and 600 companies in the Northeast. Mr. Musnicki said it was a three-month vetting process before filming in Westhampton Beach became a reality.

During the four days of filming, Mr. Serhant broke down and built Ms. Wolff back up again with expert knowledge of sales. There’s a montage in which he helps her get dressed in the morning in a “what not to wear” segment.

“They came to my house and went into my closet and picked out some clothes,” Ms. Wolff said. “They had me try on different outfits and speak in different accents to get comfortable.”

Ms. Wolff’s two daughters, Emma, 5, and Rylie, 8 months, helped, too, with comments, critiques and sometimes even a thumbs down.

Meanwhile, at the shop, Mr. Serhant slips into tiny swim trunks and tests out the waters with customers. It was all fun and games until Mr. Musnicki challenges Ms. Wolff to sell more than she has all season.

“I’m the boss,” Mr. Musnicki said. “In the sales arena, we all need goals. We all need to be challenged.”

The episode will be available to stream on Bravo’s YouTube channel and at bravotv.com.
