The Garden Club of Shelter Island will host “Fanciful Flights: A Standard Flower Show and House Tour” on Wednesday, July 18, from 2 to 5:30 p.m.
The flower show and house tour will celebrate birds, linking the beauty of flowers to the display of colors and plumage. The event begins at the Shelter Island Historical Society’s Havens House Museum and Barn—which will feature exhibits, crafts and a boutique by the garden club—and will include three houses and more than 50 flower arrangements. Homes on the tour will include the ultra-modern Stamberg/Aferiat house, featured in Architectural Digest; the Arnold house, which has views of Coecles Harbor; and the Pike house, circa 1890.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 on the day of the tour. Purchase tickets at brownpapertickets.com or call (631) 749-3375. For additional information, visit shelter-island.org/gardenclub.
