Members of the Westhampton Beach Classmates United in Restoring the Environment, or CURE, club planted an eastern redbud tree at the toddler park on Mill Road on Friday afternoon.

The planting was part of the annual Arbor Day celebration in Westhampton Beach, and was attended by members of the Village Board, the State Department of Environmental Conservation, and the Cornell Cooperative Extension. This also marks the 28th year the village has been recognized by the Arbor Day Foundation as a Tree City USA Village.
