To celebrate 50 years of Long Island wine, and the accompanying growth in the number of producers of beer and spirits, The Express Magazine will launch “Sips of Summer,” featuring three tastings of the region’s best offerings and access to its top makers, who will explain their processes in intimate settings.
The American Hotel in Sag Harbor will kick off the festivities on Thursday, June 22, with “A Celebration of 50 Years of Long Island Wine,” followed by a beer tasting with local breweries on Thursday, July 13, at Kidd Squid Brewing Company in Sag Harbor. Rounding out the series is an afternoon of spirits with East End distilleries on Thursday, July 27, at the Sagaponack Distillery.
