This summer, Sag Harbor Cinema Arts Center invites high school students (grades 9–12) to step behind the camera and into the world of filmmaking.

From August 11–22, the SHC EDU Summer Filmmaking Workshop offers a hands-on, two-week intensive, where aspiring storytellers will write, shoot, and edit their own short films — all under the guidance of experienced industry professionals.

Students will work with professional-grade equipment, gaining real-world production experience in a collaborative and supportive environment. No prior experience? No problem. Whether you’re an aspiring director or just curious about life on set, this workshop welcomes all levels of interest and ability.

The program culminates in a special screening event, where participants will debut their original films on the big screen.

Space is limited and scholarships are available. Apply by July 25, 2025.

Questions? Reach out to info@sagharborcinema.org.

Apply today and bring your story to life.
