North Fork Community Theatre Brings "A Few Good Men" to Mattituck

This October, the North Fork Community Theatre will bring Aaron Sorkin’s powerful courtroom drama “A Few Good Men” to its stage, offering audiences three weekends of gripping performances.

First produced on Broadway in 1989 and later adapted into the Academy Award-nominated film, “A Few Good Men” explores loyalty, honor, and the costs of following orders. The story follows two young Marines facing court-martial for murder at Guantanamo Bay. As their lawyers dig deeper, the trial becomes a battle of wills, leading to the unforgettable confrontation between duty and justice.

For NFCT, the production marks a bold addition to its 2024–25 season. Community actors stepped up to auditions in early August, ready to tackle some of the most iconic roles in contemporary theater. With Sorkin’s rapid-fire dialogue and the play’s high emotional stakes, the show promises to keep audiences leaning forward in their seats.

Performances run October 10-12, October 17-19, and October 24-26, with Friday and Saturday evening shows at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are available now at nfct.com.

As NFCT notes in its promotion, this production isn’t just a courtroom drama — it’s a story about courage, truth, and the choices that define us.
