After a decade of operating its flagship restaurant in Montauk, Navy Beach is partnering with Island Global Yachting Ltd. to expand into its Caribbean superyacht destinations — Yacht Haven Grande St. Thomas and Yacht Club at Isle de Sol St. Maarten.

“Navy Beach is thrilled to partner with IGY on its brand expansion into the Caribbean Islands,” Navy Beach partner Frank Davis said in a statement. “To share our beverage, dining and event experiences with vessels and guests who have not stayed in the Hamptons, or had the opportunity to enjoy Navy Beach, is very exciting for us.”

In December, Navy Beach St. Thomas will open with prime waterfront positioning at the Yacht Haven Grande, featuring a mix of fully covered and sun-dappled outdoor seating for more than 100 guests, an outdoor lounge and 20-seat bar, all with unobstructed views of the surrounding yachts and Charlotte Amalie Harbor.

“The bright, open-air, nautically inspired space spills out onto Yacht Haven Grande’s prized ‘canon lawn,’ making it the perfect venue for live music performances, private events and weddings,” according to a press release.

Two new sister concepts will follow, located in neighboring venues along the waterfront promenade at Yacht Haven Grande: ISLA Cantina, a vibrant Mexican eatery opening later this year, with an indoor-outdoor bar and overwater dining patio; and Sylvette, a French-Mediterranean neighborhood bistro opening early next year.

"Once all three new venues are open, Navy Beach will operate almost 10,000 square feet of deliciousness at Yacht Haven Grande, plus onsite catering for events and deliveries to the surrounding marina and yachts,” the release said.

Navy Beach St. Maarten will raise the bar even further, the release said, as the brand’s new flagship when it opens in early 2020 in Simpson Bay at the Yacht Club at Isle de Sol, home to 40 megayacht berths.

Following a multimillion-dollar redesign of this exclusive lagoon-front facility, Navy Beach St. Maarten will boast a variety of indoor-outdoor elements, equipped to host events for up to 250 people in the two-story venue. It includes an intimate waterview dining area with cozy banquette seating, a 20-seat horseshoe-shaped teak bar, a gaming area and a handful of daybeds facing the central swimming pool.

“To take it a coveted step further, the über-sexy Sky Deck overlooking the marina and ongoing ‘yacht show’ is like an elevated island in and of itself, ideal for smaller gatherings up to 75 people and exclusive affairs,” the release said. “The Sky Deck is outfitted with a full bar, seating and events space with unobstructed views of the surrounding yachts, waterfront and offers a perfect perch to watch the sunsets that have become synonymous with Navy Beach.”

The coastal cuisine at both Caribbean Navy Beach locations will feature new dishes crafted with island flair, including Red Snapper Ceviche, local blackened Mahi Mahi, and Grilled Caribbean Lobster, alongside signature favorites imported from the original Montauk flagship, such as the Yunnan Ribs, Grilled Avocado, Jumbo Lump Crabcake, Buttermilk Fried Chicken, Truffled Mac, Crispy Whole Fish, and the Navy Burger.

“This initiative is the launching point of entirely new levels of hospitality for yacht owners and charter guests in the Caribbean,” IGY Marinas CEO Tom Mukamal said in a statement. “Navy Beach’s proven track record of success in Montauk combined with IGY’s global destinations and brand will be leveraged to offer unique lifestyle experiences at our Caribbean destinations.”
