“Peter and the Wolf,” the newest production from Hampton Ballet Theatre School, is actually a three-way collaboration. The school, celebrating 12 years of dance education, is partnering with the 25-piece Hampton Festival Orchestra—a group of East End-based professional musicians conducted by Dr. Andrew Perea—and a surprise guest narrator for the classic ballet, staging Thursday, July 25, at 6:30 p.m. at the Montauk Playhouse; Sunday, July 28, at 6 p.m. at the Southampton Cultural Center; and Tuesday, July 30, at 6 p.m. at the Children’s Museum of the East End in Bridgehampton.

“This ballet is a treat for all ages, as Sergei Prokofiev’s famous score introduces all the ballet characters as sounds from musical instruments,” a press release said. “You will not want to miss this exciting, educational performance.”

Tickets are $15 for the Montauk Playhouse performance, $20 for the Southampton Cultural Center performance, and $15 in advance of the CMEE performance, or $20 at the door. For more information, call 631-237-4810 or visit hamptonballettheatreschool.com.
