Congratulations to our very own Cailin Riley, Southampton Press Sports Editor, and her husband David on the birth of their daughter, Claire Grace Riley. Claire was born at 8 pounds and 9 ounces last week, Tuesday, June 3. Claire joins big sister Kendall. Congratulations to the whole Riley family!Shane Sharkey and Tiffany Nano-Miranda received the North Sea Community Association scholarship at the annual scholarship dinner. Shane and Tiffany are both graduating this month from Southampton High School. Congratulations and good luck to the both of you!

Briana Frasher, of North Sea, graduated from Fairfield University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing on Sunday, May 18. Briana attended Southampton High School and graduated from there in 2010. Your family is incredibly proud of you Briana. Congratulations!

Last month, Southampton Hospital held its annual awards dinner, where several high school seniors were presented with scholarships. Kevin Edgar, son of Kate Edgar, RN, and John Sales, son of Cindy Sales, Nursing Supervisor and Jose Sales, Environmental Services Aide, both of Southampton, were two of the students to receive a scholarship. Kevin and John will graduate this month from Southampton High School. Congratulations, boys, on this well-deserved award.

Dan Raynor, son of Barbara Raynor and John Mahoney, recently graduated from the prestigious Williamson Free School of Mechanical Trades in Media, Pennsylvania. His future plans include joining the international construction firm of Hensel Phelps as a Field Engineer in July. Hensel Phelps is most widely known for repairing the Pentagon after the attack on September 11, 2001. Congratulations, Dan, on all of your accomplishments thus far, and good luck in the future!

Craig Ferrantino, of Southampton, recently received the Integrity Award for 2013 from NEXT Financial Group Inc. at its National Educational Conference, hosted in San Antonio, Texas. The award is bestowed upon a NEXT representative that exemplifies dedication to improving his or her community through working with charities and community organizations.

Most notably, Craig is an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician and volunteers with the Southampton Volunteer Ambulance. In addition, Craig has previously volunteered with the youth ministry programs of both St. Frances de Chantal Church in Wantagh and Sacred Heart Church in Cutchogue. Currently, Craig is a volunteer with the youth ministry at the Basilica Parish of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary here in Southampton. Congratulations, Craig and thank you for all that you do!

Cellist Antonio Lysy and pianist Neal Stulberg will perform a program of works by Bach, Messiaen, Debussy, Veprik, Mansurian and Schumann at the Rogers Memorial Library on Sunday, June 15, at 3 p.m. Antonio Lysy’s latest CD—“Antonio Lysy at the Broad—Music from Argentina,” won a Latin Grammy Award for “Best Classical Contemporary Composition” for a piece he commissioned. He has been on the music faculty at UCLA since 2003. Reservations are recommended.

Dorothy Reilly will return to the library on Tuesday, June 17, at 7 p.m. to lead a continuing conversation about co-working and co-housing, two new concepts in 21st century living and work/space management.
