A south-of-the-highway Southampton Village shingled traditional recently sold for $6.75 million, having found a buyer after just about a week on the market.

On 0.37 acre at 296 Little Plains Road, less than half a mile from Little Plains Beach, the move-in ready four-bedroom, four-bath residence was built in 1930.

“The renovated home features a gracious first floor layout with formal entry and formal living room which opens to the casual living area, high-end gourmet kitchen and dining room,” the listing states.

The main floor continues with a den and full bathroom, and the second floor includes the primary suite with a private deck, and the three other bedrooms.

The lower level is partially finished, and the property also offers a heated gunite pool, a detached two-car garage, mature landscaping and a pergola over a brick patio.

Mary Slattery, an associate broker with Corcoran, had the listing. She remarked in an Instagram post last month that 296 Little Plains Road went into contract just eight days after listing, and it closed at full asking price in five weeks.

Her fellow Corcoran associate broker Patricia Garrity, who had previous experience with this home, brought the buyer.

“Having sold this home three times, I knew it was the perfect match for a buyer who was waiting for that classic Southampton traditional in a superb location,” Garrity said. “It checked every box and now has a happy new owner.”

“Extremely happy sellers. Ecstatic buyer,” Slattery wrote. “Great teamwork all the way around.”

The sellers were Kelly and Peter McGee and the new owner is E. Robert Lupone, according to The Real Estate Report Inc. When the property last changed hands, in 2021, the price was $5.83 million.
