It looks like SAVCAY is downsizing. SAVCAY is a limited liability company, and is connected to a sudden flurry of real estate activity in Amagansett.

The LLC owned 13 Beach Plum Court in the hamlet until it was sold recently for $9.9 million to another LLC. The 4,500-square-foot manse on 1 acre—and on the ocean—has six bedrooms and 7.5 baths. Amenities include a media room, an open chef's kitchen overlooking the ocean, and a full bar adjacent to the living room for entertaining. There are three fireplaces, an elevator, and plenty of bright sunshine. The exterior features an in-ground pool facing the ocean, expansive decking and covered porches. Then, SAVCAY took all that cash down the street and purchased 7 Beach Plum Court for nearly $4.25 million. It’s less than half the price of 13 Beach Plum, but not a rundown shack by any means. Set on 1 acre, the 5,000-square-foot residence has four bedrooms and 5.5 baths. Nestled in dune preserve land, the property features a beachside heated pool, custom mahogany decking and a private pathway to the shore. There is a living room with a fireplace set in a stone wall and walls of glass that fold open to an oceanfront terrace affording panoramic views across the dunes to the sea. The kitchen has built-in seating and top-of-the-line appliances, which opens to the pool, a patio and an outdoor shower. There is a garage, too, for housing the dune buggy.

Before leaving Amagansett, one other big sale to mention: 39 Indian Wells Highway, which was purchased by an LLC for nearly $7 million. The residence on 1.08 acres contains six bedrooms and 7.5 baths spread out among 8,010 square feet. The interior includes a grand two-story foyer leading to a great room with French doors opening to an expansive patio. There is a large eat-in gourmet kitchen with top-of-the-line appliances, which is adjacent to a double-height family room with custom masonry fireplace with herringbone patterned firebox and a formal dining room with adjoining wine room. Nearby is a spacious first-floor master suite. A bonus is hardwood flooring throughout. The second floor features a luxurious master suite with fireplace and private balcony overlooking manicured grounds, as well as three additional en-suite bedrooms and second-floor laundry facilities. The finished lower level includes two more bedrooms, a large recreational area, a media room and a glass-enclosed gym. Attached is a radiant-heated two-car garage. The grounds offer a heated pool with spa and pool house.

Hamptons Rental Market Remains Alive and Well

To paraphrase Mark Twain, reports of the demise of the Hamptons summer-rental market are greatly exaggerated. “Any hint that the Hamptons rental market is anything but robust is completely wrong,” said Corcoran associate broker Gary DePersia in East Hampton. An interesting dynamic is stirring in the Hamptons vacation-rental market. Although there has been an unprecedented rise in short-term rentals and the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic linger, it has been a bumper crop year for Wall Street, interest rates have remained steady and a new breed of demanding customer is emerging. Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora
