Oscar-winning actress Julianne Moore is looking to offload her modest Montauk abode for $3.495 million.

Overlooking the same Fort Pond as does the hipster haven Surf Lodge, recently of parking woes fame, the three-bedroom, one-bath home has a contemporary design with custom wood walls, wide plank floors and a brick fireplace, according to the Town & Country listing. A sizable screened-in porch, gunite pool and nearby cabana complete the amenities.

Some commenters on Curbed Hamptons, which first reported the new listing, believe the price is a bit steep for the 1,000-square-foot home, which sits on .69 acre. Then again, no one could imagine spending $140 million on what will surely be a summer home in East Hampton, but that didn't stop Barry Rosenstein from breaking records with his purchase last year.

And those who aren’t looking to have every bell and whistle, which has become de rigueur in new builds, may find their own little slice of paradise in Ms. Moore's pondfront home.
