Christie’s International Real Estate Group, the exclusive affiliate of Christie’s International Real Estate serving New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, has added industry veteran Jan Jaeger to its East Hampton office team.

“I can’t imagine a better individual and professional to be joining the Hamptons team,” said Ilija Pavlovic, the president and CEO of Christie’s International Real Estate Group. “Jan’s vast experience extends to all aspects of a residential transaction, and we couldn’t be happier to have her expertise in this incredible location.”

Jaeger began her career in real estate in 2000 and was promoted to senior managing director at her previous brokerage in 2006, where she managed over 100 real estate agents at any given time.

“Jan and I instantly had a strong connection upon meeting,” said Sherri Balassone, a vice president and corporate broker at Christie’s International Real Estate Group. “She personifies what the Christie’s brand is known for across the globe — trust, honesty and expertise. On top of her professional ability, she is also a superb human. Jan’s local Hamptons proficiency combined with her professional skill and humanity is unrivaled.”

Jaeger is a longtime resident of Sag Harbor.

“I’m incredibly excited to be joining the East Hampton office team,” Jaeger said. “As a local for many years, I have a deep love for the community and am eager to share that with prospective home buyers and sellers. My personal and professional experience with the Hamptons and surrounding areas allows me to assist clients in any area of their home buying experience.”

An interesting dynamic is stirring in the Hamptons vacation-rental market. Although there has been an unprecedented rise in short-term rentals and the aftershocks of the COVID-19 pandemic linger, it has been a bumper crop year for Wall Street, interest rates have remained steady and a new breed of demanding customer is emerging. Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora
