A 6.6-acre compound in Bridgehampton with an 8,000-square-foot home made up of five barns connected by a 120-foot breezeway recently sold for $8.69 million.
At 81 Day Lily Lane, the home offers six bedrooms, seven full bathrooms and one half-bath, and it was featured in the 2019 book “Behind The Privets: Classic Hamptons Homes” by Richard Barons and Stanley Rumbough. The compound has also been featured in the East Hampton House and Garden Tour.
The private country retreat with a long winding driveway includes manicured lawns, rolling meadows, a heated gunite pool and a clay tennis court.
The residence has a great room with 25-foot ceilings, a large fireplace, and pine beams and floors. It is adjacent to the dining room and an open kitchen, and French doors lead out to the south-facing bluestone patio.
The eastern wing has a master suite with dual dressings rooms and a pine library. The western wing has two guest rooms and a guest annex with three additional bedrooms and a den. The residence also has two artist studios. The breezeway looks out to an English-style garden.
The compound also boasts a two-car garage and a large finished basement.
The last asking price was $9.25 million.
Eve Combemale of Sotheby’s International Realty had the listing. The seller was the Allan Ryan Trust, and the new owner is Astor Real Estate Holdings LLC, according to The Real Estate Report Inc. The deal closed in late March.
