A Bridgehampton residence designed by the late modernist architect Norman Jaffe is now on the market asking $9 million.
With the street address 95 Jobs Lane, the 5,000-square-foot “contemporary barn style home” is on 1.53 acres close to the ocean down a private road off Jobs Lane. According to the Sotheby’s International Realty listing, the design features include spacious interiors, vaulted ceilings and sliding panel doors to the exterior and “zen-like gardens” and specimen cherry, Japanese maple, copper beech and dogwood trees.
It has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, three fireplaces and room for expansion. A two-car garage is attached. Outdoor spaces and amenities include bluestone patios, mahogany decking, a 20-foot-by-40-foot heated pool, an outdoor shower, a generator and a golf green with a sand trap and a tee box.

Jaffe (1932-1993) designed multiple unique homes in the Hamptons, some of which have since been demolished for redevelopment, but many continue to be lived in today, some well preserved, some renovated. He also designed the Jewish Center of the Hamptons in East Hampton, known as Gates of the Grove, completed in 1988 and regarded by some as a masterpiece.
Originally from Chicago, Jaffe moved to Bridgehampton in 1973 and opened an architectural studio there.
