Sag Harbor Makes CNN Money’s 20 Best Places to Go in 2019
Coming in just before Los Angeles and right after San Antonio, Texas, Sag Harbor placed sixth in CNN Money’s “20 Best Places to Go in 2019,” released last week.
The 2019 Best in Travel guide highlights both domestic and international locations that offer the best bang for your travel dollar, using 43,000 data points that evaluated the cost and quality of almost 750 destinations around the world.
According to CNN Money, the average airfare to get to Sag Harbor is $292, with the average hotel night coming in at $281. The cost of a three day trip to the village would be about $2,000, according to CNN Money.
“With flight prices down 20 percent from last year and hotels down 42 percent, this relatively quiet Hamptons town is ready for visitors,” states the travel guide. “Stop by the casual lobster-roll joint the Dock House, and take the kids swimming at Havens Beach on Sag Harbor Bay. Head to nearby Foster Memorial Beach for seashell collecting or to host a barbecue.”
