Town & Country Welcomes Irena Grant
Irena Grant has an international view of real estate.
Born in Prague, she spent much of her childhood in the Czech Republic and England, before calling the East End home for the last 20 years — and, now, her place of business at Town & Country Real Estate’s office in Bridgehampton.
“I've always been interested in helping people with staging and selling,” explained Grant, who closed two landmark deals with waterfront properties in East Hampton’s exclusive Three Mile Harbor area. “The keys to working with clients to find the house of their dreams are good interpersonal skills and the ability to really listen to what a client wants.”
After graduating from Prague University, Grant found herself working in the film production industry, where she learned the importance of finding perfect shooting locations and stage them for the specific director's needs,” a press release said.
“Successful real estate investments in Europe — where she visits frequently and continues to buy, sell, and rent property — have opened the door for Irena’s successful real estate career here in the Hamptons.”
Grant lives with her husband and their children in East Hampton, and volunteers at ARF Hamptons, Amaryllis Farm Equine Rescue and practices marionette theater and puppet making — a strong European tradition and part of her cultural heritage.
And when she isn’t on the East End, Grant says she “loves to travel and discover new cultures and traditions in music and the arts around the world.”

‘Witch’s’ Hat Sells for $1.8 Million
Water Mill’s famed “Witch's Hat” still has its signature pointed turret, but the Victorian mansion has a new master beyond the hedges.
Longtime owner Richard Keith Langham — interior designer for the likes Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and actor John Goodman — sold the manor to fashion entrepreneur Pamela Bell last month.
The grand, pink-shuttered home features a wraparound front porch and typical asymmetrical façade of the Victorian style, an unusual find on the East End. It spans 3,259 square feet, with four bedrooms and baths, water views from the third floor den, and a 1-acre lot with a pool, airy cottage and manicured lawns.
“We fell in love with the house from the listing photos before we even came to visit,” Bell told Mansion Global through her real estate agent, Brian Hagadorn of Douglas Elliman. “The colors, the grandeur without pretension made us drive out on a whim to see the property. We walked in and it was, in fact, love at first site.”
