Compass has launched an international sports and entertainment division to focus on the real estate needs of professional athletes and entertainers.
Kofi Nartey, a top agent with Compass, was selected by the brokerage to create the first national network of offices and agents to cater such clientele, having worked with such notables as Kevin Durant, Iggy Azalea and Michael Jordan at his former position with The Agency, a worldwide luxury real estate brokerage based in Beverly Hills.
Robert Reffkin, founder and CEO of Compass, described the new sports and entertainment division as equal parts real estate and concierge service. “Sports stars and entertainers often find themselves having to shift life and career plans,” Mr. Reffkin said in a press release. “Compass is prepared to seamlessly guide them through any stage in their journey.”
In addition to providing traditional real estate services, agents in the new division will help clients find interior designers, architects, moving companies and more.
Compass has also launched a property and lifestyle magazine, “Compass Quarterly: The Luxury Edition,” featuring stories about high-end properties from each of the firm’s regional markets.
