CPF Revenues Rise Dramatically For First Half Of 2013

authorDawn Watson on Jul 28, 2013

Revenues for the Peconic Bay Community Preservation Fund rose dramatically for the first six months of 2013, compared to those of the same time period in 2012, according to information provided by New York State Assemblyman Fred W. Thiele Jr.

The CPF revenues for January through June 2013, were $43.87 million, an approximate 48-percent increase, from the total for the first six months of 2012, which was $29.62 million.

The number of transactions this year from last also rose steeply. There were 4,100 transactions during the first six months of 2013, compared to 3,051 for the same time period in 2012.

Mr. Thiele projected the CPF revenues to double by year’s end.

“At the half-year mark, CPF revenues of $43.87 million are on track to produce $85 million to $90 million, the highest annual total since 2007, before the Great Recession,” he wrote in a statement last week.

Since its inception in 1999, the Peconic Bay Regional Community Preservation Fund has generated $833.17 million.
