Gosh, is there anything NOT selling in East Hampton lately? And why, suddenly, is Lee Avenue the hottest street in the village?

Recently, we reported on the sale of 10 Lee Avenue for $14,750,000. Now we can report the purchase, by a buyer shielded by a limited liability company, of 37 Lee Avenue for a cool $19 million, according to the Long Island Real Estate Report. We really don’t have information on the property, but we can tell you the seller is Kenneth D. Brody. The 76-year-old is the chief executive officer at Sutton Square Management. Mr. Brody’s resume includes being the founding partner at Winslow Partners LLC and co-founder, partner and manager at Taconic Capital Advisors. He founded Taconic in 1999, he was chairman and president at the Export-Import Bank of the United States, and from 1971 to 1991 he was employed at Goldman, Sachs & Co.

Another eight-figure sale in East Hampton—$10.5 million, to be precise—was 62 Dunemere Lane, also purchased by an LLC. The 8,000-square-foot residence on 1.14 acres has eight bedrooms and 6.5 baths. The renovated shingle-style “cottage” has been featured in Architectural Digest. The house has an open plan, large light-filled spaces (well, on sunny days, at least), bleached fir floors, contemporary moldings, state-of-the-art technology, fully finished lower level, and custom-tiled kitchen with 2-inch slab Carrera marble counters. French doors open to a bluestone dining terrace, a heated pool, a trellis-shaded pool house and a garage. The sellers, by the way, are Chris Mitchell and Pilar Guzman, both executives at Conde Nast.

Not quite joining the Eight-Figure Club at $9.5 million is 15 Ruxton Road in the Georgica Pond section of the village, acquired by an LLC. The 7,700-square-foot manse on a generous 3.5 acres has seven bedrooms and 9.5 baths. “A double-height entry and distinctive chandelier nod to the luxury and style to be found throughout,” we’re told, “while grey oak flooring ushers you into lavish formal reception areas.” The formal dining room welcomes even the largest of dinner parties, and the well-equipped chef’s kitchen is more than up to the task thanks to “an army of top-notch stainless-steel appliances,” a center island/breakfast bar, and breakfast room. A separate TV room on this level features private stairs to two bedroom suites, and the finished basement below offers a large screening room. Private bedroom suites throughout have en-suite bathrooms. The master wing has a fireplace, walk-in closet, a private terrace overlooking the property, and a spa-like en-suite bathroom with frameless glass rain shower, separate tub, and dual-sink vanity. Outdoors is a 5,000-square-foot stone patio, a swimming pool, sprawling lawns, specimen trees, an apple orchard, and flowering gardens just beyond. There’s a tennis court with pavilion, a billiards room, and a large pool house with sauna that opens with barn doors at both ends.
