The First Frederick G. Potter House, a circa 1899 East Hampton Village home by legendary architect Joseph Greenleaf Thorpe, recently sold for $18.5 million after being listed last year for $20 million.

The 12,000-square-foot, three-story residence on 2.1 manicured acres has 10 bedrooms and 8.5 bathrooms. Located at 11 Lee Avenue, it’s been renovated with a wood-paneled living room, dining room, entrance foyer, game room, sunroom, family room, new country kitchen with butler’s pantry, and seven — count ’em, seven — fireplaces.

Thorpe designed a number of East End homes in addition to the Potter House, including the iconic Grey Gardens.

Also on the estate are a pool house, a garage and a playhouse. Outdoors are a brick terrace, a hot tub, a pool and gardens.

The sale was made off-market after the listing with Brown Harris Stevens expired.
