A Southampton Village estate where Joe Biden stayed on multiple occasions over the course of his eight years as vice president has sold for $27.5 million.

The last asking price for 484 First Neck Lane, which fronts Lake Agawam, was $30 million. The seller was philanthropist, Democratic Party booster and GeoCities founder David Bohnett.

The 2.7-acre estate has nearly 500 feet of lakefront on the south end of Lake Agawam. Drive up to the parking court through stone pillars and under a canopy of linden trees and step into the stone, slate and stucco home. “Large walls of glass embrace the interior spaces as well as the stunning views to the lake,” the listing from Corcoran’s Tim Davis states. “One can’t help but appreciate the architecture in the houses across the Lake, several of which are the most prominent mansions to grace our beautiful Southampton Village shoreline.”

The house has six en suite bedrooms, including the primary suite on the main level.

The second floor offers ocean views, as does the roof terrace, which also looks over the lake.

Among the amenities are a state-of-the-art kitchen, an elevator, several fireplaces, a three-car garage, 45-foot pool with adjacent spa, and a pool house with a fireplace and two bathrooms.

“Very few properties have ever been offered for sale along the shores of Lake Agawam and particularly in this location on First Neck Lane so close to the ocean,” Davis said. “This is a beautiful home in perfect condition with wide lake frontage, a swimming pool and pool house. Essentially, an amazing lifestyle enhancement opportunity. We successfully put the house under contract in four months, proving once again the strength of our sound real estate market here in the Hamptons.”

Douglas Elliman’s Kyle Rosko brought the buyer to the deal.

The new owners are Maximilian and Sarah Cascante, according to Suffolk Vision Inc., which reported that the sale closed on April 23.
