A new build in the Georgica estate section of East Hampton Village has sold for its full asking price, $25 million, according to Sotheby’s International Realty.

On 0.92 acre at 19 Cottage Avenue, the shingle-style traditional has 9,000 square feet of living space over three levels, with seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms and a partial bath. The property also includes a 50-foot heated pool, a pool house and a vaulted carriage house.

Among the luxury details and finishes in the main house are custom solid mahogany windows and doors, quarter-sawn white oak and Belgian stone floors, 10-foot ceilings throughout, five fireplaces and Waterworks and Lefroy Brooks plumbing fixtures. Smart home tech included a wired integrated Sonos speaker system, Wi-Fi transmitters throughout, Lutron lighting technology and an All-Tech Security system. Also among the amenities are a wine room, fitness room, and sauna.

The sellers were Chris Mitchell, the former publisher of Vanity Fair and The New Yorker, and Pilar Guzman, the former editor-in-chief of Condé Nast Traveler and currently the editorial director of Oprah Daily. Together, they are the authors of the best-selling book “Patina Modern: A Guide to Designing Warm and Timeless Interiors,” published in 2022.

Beate Moore and Frank Newbold of Sotheby’s had the listing. Moore said: “19 Cottage Avenue is one of the finest properties I have represented. Everyone who had the opportunity to view the home was equally impressed. This transaction was seamless and enjoyable for all parties, and to achieve the full asking price for the best clients, a home run.”
