Goodbye, Jason Kidd. The retired NBA star and current head coach of the Milwaukee Bucks sold his Water Mill manse for $7.1 million this week. He had first listed it last October for almost $8 million; it was later reduced to $6.795 million, but competition between buyers brought the price back up.

“There was a bidding war,” said Douglas Elliman broker Matthew Breitenbach, who secured the deal. “It is a very stately home, and the buyers are very lucky; they got a lot of amenities for what they paid.”

Perched a mile from the ocean at 100 Flying Point Road, the 1.87-acre gated estate is made up of four separate structures, according to the Douglas Elliman listing. The focal point of this compound is the traditional-style, 7,800-square-foot main house with 6 bedrooms and baths, including a master suite with a sitting room and fireplace, numerous balconies and covered porches, and a lower level with 2,300 square feet of living space, including two kitchenettes.

There is no shortage of luxury amenities on the property, including a carriage house, pool and pool house with a flat-screen TV, tennis court and tennis “pavilion,” a custom-designed putting green, and, no surprise, a basketball court.

The NBA pro purchased the estate for $5 million in 2012, while coaching for his former team, the Nets.
