New Bridgehampton Residence Fetches Nearly $8 Million

A 9,400-square-foot new build south of Montauk Highway in Bridgehampton sold earlier this year for $7.55 million, just $200,000 shy of its asking price.

At 163 Church Lane on a gated, double-deep 1.1-acre lot, the south-facing residence — accompanied by a pool, a pool house and a tennis court — was completed last fall. The main floor has a double-height foyer and living room; a designer kitchen; a breakfast room; a formal dining room with a butler’s pantry; a family room; and a mudroom. There are en-suite bedrooms throughout the home, inclusive of both a first-floor and a second-floor master suite. The lower level has a spa with a gym, a sauna, a massage room and a full bathroom, plus a game room, a den and a theater.

In all, there are eight bedrooms and 9.5 bathrooms.

Among the amenities are an elevator, solar power, and a first-floor audio system. There is a stone patio off the rear of the house and another surrounding the pool and connecting to the pool house.

Frank Bodenchak of the Sotheby’s International Realty Bridgehampton office had the listing.

The sellers were Alfred and Victoria Shtainer and the new owner is Bridgehampton Church Lane LLC, according to The Real Estate Report Inc., which also reported that the deal closed on February 25.
