author27east on Aug 3, 2015

Al Giaquinto, president of Plum Builders in East Hampton, has been asked to judge the PRISM Awards for the second year in a row.

The Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston awards the PRISMs to recognize outstanding projects and achievements on the part of builders, developers, project owners, architects, land planners, marketing and advertising firms, interior designers, remodelers and other professionals in the home-building industry.

There are more than 75 categories, ranging from Best Net-Zero or Passive Home to the Community Spirit Award. The PRISM Awards Gala, which was attended by more than 350 industry professionals and guests last year, will be held in October.

Mr. Giaquinto was chosen to judge the PRISM awards based on his 33 years in the industry. His credentials include his status as a graduate master builder, certified green professional, and certified graduate remodeler, as well as innovator of The Modern Barn® brand. Also a member of the Long Island Builders Institute, National Association of Home Builders, and National Kitchen and Bath Association, he has built custom homes in East Hampton since 1982.

Mr. Giaquinto, his wife, Mary, and two of their grown children work in the family business.
