What does it cost to buy a home built with some of the rarest stone in the world? According to the recent sale of 57 Jareds Lane in Sagaponack, no less than $17 million.
Designed by Tony Ingrao, the 12,000-square-foot home that sits on 2.3 acres south of the highway — listed with Sara Goldfarb and Tal Alexander of Douglas Elliman Real Estate — closed on June 14, according to The Real Estate Report Inc.
The eight-bedroom estate with nine bathrooms and three half baths, all accented with stone, features hand-laid, white-washed brick for the foundation, six fireplaces, including one with Covelano Oro stone — a rare, highly-prized Italian white marble — and a Crystallo stone island and countertops in the kitchen.
Beyond the design elements, the house is complete with a gym and steam room, a home theater, and a 500-bottle, temperature-controlled wine cellar. The previous homeowner, Mikel Lehrman, sold the estate to 57 Jared Lane LLC, according to The Real Estate Report Inc.
