Sagaponack’s 11962 has reclaimed the No. 2 spot on PropertyShark’s annual ranking of the most expensive zip codes in the United States.

With a median home price of $5.75 million, 11962 was only surpassed by 94027 in Atherton, California, with a median of $7.9 million.

This is the sixth consecutive year that Atherton has topped the ranking, while Sagaponack has been No. 2 on four out of the last five lists.

Sagaponack’s is the only zip code in New York State to get into the top 10 of 2022 nationwide.

The Manhattan zip codes 10013, 10283 and 10007 were Nos. 2, 6 and 9, respectively, in the New York State ranking.

Water Mill’s 11976 grabbed the No. 3 spot statewide with a median price of $3.69 million. It’s 18th nationally. Fourth in the state and 22nd in the nation went to 11930, the Amagansett zip code, with a $3.52 million median. Bridgehampton’s 11932 follows with a median of $3.3 million, making it fifth in the state and 25th nationally. Wainscott’s 11975 had a median sales price of $2.87 million, earning it No. 7 in the state and 35th nationally.

The 11959 zip code in Quogue had a median price of $2.81 million, placing it at No. 8 in New York State and No. 36 in the country.

Montauk’s 11954 did not rank in the state’s top 10 but nationally placed 82nd with a median of $2 million, and Southampton’s 11968 was close behind at 88th with $1.9 million, according to PropertyShark.

The last East End zip code to break into the top 100 in the United States is Sag Harbor’s 11963, at No. 91, with a median of $1.87 million.
