An 8,000-square-foot Sagaponack traditional located 500 feet from the ocean shore recently sold for $28 million in an off-market transaction, according to Town & Country Real Estate, which represented the seller.

On 1 acre at 232 Gibson Lane, the five-bedroom, nine-bath residence is by custom home builder Lifton Green. The gated property offers ocean views to the south and views of an 11-acre agricultural reserve to the north and — 25 percent of the reserve is deeded to the new owner. It also comes fully furnished and decorated by Tamara Magel Designs.

The paneled entry foyer leads to a great room, dining room and den, each warmed by its own fireplace. The designer kitchen includes gathering areas. The home office is “command central style” and tricked out for remote work, according to Town & Country, and there are additional main-floor rooms as well. Six-inch-wide oak flooring is throughout.
