Want to ride out the coronavirus pandemic in the Hamptons, and have an extra $2 million lying around?

Then Joe Farrell’s Sandcastle estate in Bridgehampton just might be the ticket for you.

What you get is the estate at 612 Halsey Lane on 11.5 acres that was built and is owned by Joe Farrell, who owns the well-known Hamptons construction firm Farrell Building Company. Amenities include a baseball field and tennis court outside, and, inside, a spa and Jacuzzi, bowling alley, golf simulator, half-pipe, and other cool stuff that take up much of the home’s 17,000 square feet.

The estate gained national attention a few years ago when Jay-Z and Beyonce rented it for a month. Justin Bieber stayed there, too.

Typically only available to rent from Memorial Day to Labor Day, the estate — complete with nine fireplaces — was recently listed on Out East for a rental beginning immediately and running through Memorial Day.

Act fast, though, given the groundswell of New Yorkers escaping the city in light of the coronavirus pandemic, it may not be available for long.

According to an article in the New York Post, Mr. Farrell is listing all the homes he currently has on the sales market as rentals now through Labor Day.

Despite it all, the Hamptons vacation-rental market remains as ... 19 Jun 2025 by Joseph Finora

Hamptons Median Home Price Reaches $2 Million for the First Time

The first-quarter home sales reports for the Hamptons real estate market are in, and it’s positive news all around. The number of sales, the median sales price and the amount of inventory were all up, according to three different reports issued by area real estate firms. For the first time, the median sales price on the South Fork reached $2 million. The Elliman Report found that the $1 million to $5 million range dominated the Hamptons market, with sales nearly doubling.
