Sandra Novick has been elected chair of the board of trustees of Peconic Landing, a retirement community in Greenport that serves a number of former South Fork residents.

Ms. Novick has served since 2009 as the senior marketing officer at Suffolk County National Bank, a position she will be retiring from in early May. She previously served as chief marketing officer and corporate secretary of Bridgehampton National Bank.

She is a member of the advisory council of East End Arts, as well as a past president and past treasurer; has served on the advisory committee of the Eleanor Whitmore Early Childhood Learning Center in East Hampton; and is a former board member of Peconic Public Broadcasting.

An active member of Peconic Landing’s board of trustees since 2003, Ms. Novick heads its marketing committee and is a member of the board’s strategic planning committee. According to a press release, she helped guide marketing efforts that were key to maintaining high occupancy throughout the Peconic Landing community and securing financing for a $44 million expansion that is set to open late in April.

Ms. Novick will fill the chair’s seat after the death of John M. May, who headed the board of trustees for more than a decade.
