What do Dolly Parton, Michael Jackson, Barbra Streisand, Whoopi Goldberg, Cher, Neil Diamond and Amagansett have in common? Sandy Gallin. The veteran talent manager with an impressive stable of past and present clients has just put his south of the highway property on the market. It can be found on Further Lane, just to the west of Indian Wells.

Actually, “impressive” is an understatement. In addition to the names above, the Gallin portfolio includes managing Joan Rivers, Lily Tomlin, Mariah Carey, Nicole Kidman, Olivia Newton-John, the Osmond Brothers, Patti LaBelle, Paula Abdul, the Pointer Sisters, Richard Pryor, Roseanne Barr and the hit-making groups America and KC and the Sunshine Band. He even had a hand in booking the Beatles on “The Ed Sullivan Show” back in 1964.

Not bad for a kid whose first job in the entertainment business was in the mail room at a small talent agency. As Mr. Gallin worked his way up the ladder, early clients included Phyllis Diller, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Laura Nyro and Joni Mitchell. As they first gained attention, he signed up-and-comers like Tiny Tim and Cass Elliot, the latter joining with three other musicians to form the Mamas & the Papas. Mr. Gallin’s horizons broadened during his years of booking talent for such popular television shows as “Hollywood Palace” and “Hullabaloo” as well as Ed Sullivan’s Sunday night ratings-grabber. He then branched out on his own, founding Gallin & Associates in Los Angeles.

A very successful move was teaming with Dolly Parton for the film and TV company Sandollar Productions. Its features and shows included remakes of “Father of the Bride” and “Sabrina” along with “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” When he became a tad tired of Hollywood, Mr. Gallin moved to Las Vegas, where with the casino impresario Steve Wynn he formed Mirage Entertainment & Sports, which involved new musicals for hotels on the Strip.

Somewhere along the way, Mr. Gallin found time to enjoy his Amagansett manse, where he hosted parties riddled with bold-face names, and became an interior designer. When Mr. Gallin married in 2014, guests at the celebration included Barry Diller, Diane von Furstenberg, Donna Karan and Calvin Klein. Alas, the marriage lasted only a year, with sources citing the problem being the age difference between the 74-year-old Mr. Gallin and his 35-year-old husband.

Hearing Ms. Streisand’s version in the background, one can speculate that “memories” is the reason for putting the Further Lane estate up for sale. The seven-bedroom, nine-bath, 6,500-square-foot traditional sits on 2.11 acres and features an apple orchard, gunite pool, four outbuildings, separate spa, chef’s kitchen, gym, pool house, outdoor entertainment area, stone installations and of course a screening room. If you have $22.5 million, the asking price, to spare, contact Douglas Elliman.
