A “pristine” traditional in the Georgica estate section of East Hampton Village recently sold for $8.98 million.

At 57 Georgica Road, the residence sits on an acre-plus with a gunite pool and a pool house that offers a full bar.

The main house has a kitchen, living room, dining room and great room that all have French doors that open to the patio, and a junior primary suite rounds out the main level. Up on the second level is a primary suite with a sun-drenched spa bathroom and a study/office with a fireplace. The level continues with three en suite bedrooms. A private staff or guest en suite bedroom is over the two-car garage.

The lower level features a media room with a bar, an office/gym space and vast storage space.

Liz Carey of the Sotheby’s International Realty East Hampton office had the listing.

Carey said: “57 Georgica Road was a large and lovely house in beautiful condition, on a flat, cleared acre down a private drive in the estate section of East Hampton Village. Serene and elegant, it was just two or three minutes from Main Beach, five minutes from town. Every buyer wants to be able to access those destinations and this house was the perfect launch pad for that classic East Hampton Village lifestyle.”

The deal closed on January 4, according to Suffolk Vision Inc. The seller was the estate of Carol-Ann Morgan, and the new owners are Scott and Jocelyn Sontag. He is a partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, and she is a former attorney turned travel consultant.

Hamptons Median Home Price Reaches $2 Million for the First Time

The first-quarter home sales reports for the Hamptons real estate market are in, and it’s positive news all around. The number of sales, the median sales price and the amount of inventory were all up, according to three different reports issued by area real estate firms. For the first time, the median sales price on the South Fork reached $2 million. The Elliman Report found that the $1 million to $5 million range dominated the Hamptons market, with sales nearly doubling.
