The roads in Sag Harbor are horrible. I understand that many of our worst roads are county- or state-controlled roads, but the Sag Harbor Village government is going to take the blame.
Roads are one of the most important “touch points” local government can have with its citizens. If the Sag Harbor mayor wants the confidence of his constituents, he should make sure that they are not getting flat tires.
To go one step further, Sag Harbor has an opportunity to do something special when Main Street is eventually repaved. Why not make it cobblestone or block?
