I read with interest that the Sag Harbor Village Board is looking into public access points to the water being lost in Redwood, and that two other access points on John Street and Green Street will be protected.
I think it is a little late for Green Street. For over a year, access to the property of people who live there has been just about impossible to achieve. Vehicles from ongoing construction on a property on the end of the street have blocked mail delivery and garbage pickup. Visits to people who live there (a relative of mine, for one) are difficult to impossible to achieve.
The entire street is one big parking lot from morning to night. Vehicles park in the middle of the road, and access to the others living there is impossible.
Maybe the board should have a look at that situation and find a way to correct it. Hope so.
