As a North Haven resident, I am writing to express my strong support for Terie Diat’s reelection to the North Haven Board of Trustees.

Having participated in meetings both in person and online, I’ve seen firsthand that Terie brings a constructive presence to every discussion and is consistently prepared to engage thoughtfully on complex issues. Her careful approach makes certain that everyone on the board has all the necessary information to make educated, well-informed decisions.

An important issue for our community is the thoughtful review of our zoning codes. Without careful oversight, we risk changes that could alter the character of North Haven. Terie understands that responsible development must reflect the values and priorities of our residents. Her environmental priorities include advocating for cleaner local waters and safeguarding our creeks, ponds and bays.

Her dedication, work ethic, reliability, ability to closely listen to residents and take their input seriously have earned the respect of many in our community, including mine. Terie understands that how decisions are made — with transparency, fairness and community engagement — is just as important as what decisions are made.

Let’s keep Terie Diat on the Board of Trustees. She cares deeply about our village and gets things done the right way.
