The Express News Group will sponsor debates for candidates for the Sag Harbor and North Haven village boards at the Sag Harbor Firehouse on Brick Kiln Road at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 8.

In Sag Harbor, two incumbent trustees, Ed Haye and Jeanne Kane, are being challenged by Ronald Reed, a member of the Village Planning Board, and Mary Ann Eddy, a member, and former chairwoman, of the Village Harbor Committee. Terms are two years.

In North Haven, Mayor Chris Fiore is seeking a second term. He is being challenged by Barbara Roberts, a former member of the Suffolk County Planning Commission.

Two North Haven trustees, Dianne Skilbred and Claas Abraham, are running unopposed and will not participate in the debate but have been asked to submit statements describing what they would like to accomplish in their next terms.

Joseph P. Shaw, the executive editor of the Express News Group, will serve as moderator.

Elections in both villages take place on June 18. Voting is from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Sag Harbor Firehouse and from noon to 9 p.m. at North Haven Village Hall.
