As an active community member and parent, I support the Marsden project and will vote in favor of the purchase on May 16.
There is no debate. For the equivalent of $3.92 per month, or 12 cents per day, over the course of a year in additional taxes, I vote yes for the future of our schools and community.
I vote yes to expand the footprint of the school.
I vote yes to have the opportunity to work together, as a community, to use this land purchase to the benefit of our children.
I vote yes for my children and the children to come.
I vote yes for our future and the future of this community.
Yes leads to endless possibilities of growth, inspiration and innovation.
The alternative is complacency — we hinder our progress and stifle our potential.
The Sag Harbor Elementary School song says it best: “Red and black, by our colors we stand, side by side, hand in hand.”
Sag Harbor community, let’s stand by our children on May 16.
