Sag Harbor voters overwhelmingly approved the John Jermain Memorial Library's annual budget in voting on Thursday, September 29. STEPHEN J. KOTZ

Sag Harbor voters on Thursday, September 29, approved the John Jermain Memorial Library’s proposed $3,216,932 budget, 108-17. The proposal calls for a total tax levy of $3,093,732.

Three candidates were also elected to the library’s board of trustees. Incumbent Michael Garabedian was joined by two newcomers, Robyn Obler and Elliott Sroka, in winning three-year terms.

“The overwhelming support of the John Jermain Library, its staff and services is truly heartwarming,” said Executive Director Kelly Harris. “On behalf of all of us here at JJML, trustees and staff, thank you for taking the time to vote. We look forward to continuing to serve the community we love. Congratulations to our newly elected trustees.”
