The Town of East Hampton will host two free community events on Saturday, November 1, giving residents the opportunity to safely dispose of unused medications and securely shred personal documents. Summer Reading Programs See Healthy Increase In Participation

Public Libraries in Suffolk County announced this week that their 2025 youth summer reading initiative reached thousands of young participants. The program, Color Our World, which ran from late June through the end of August, saw 33,086 young readers register across 56 participating libraries. Participants read a total of 126,594 books and attended thousands of associated programs offered by participating libraries. Of the 8,159 summer programs hosted by participating libraries, 166,895 children and teens attended.
