Sag Harbor girls gathered recently to create holiday ornaments in a charitable effort supporting local families in need. Fisher’s Home Furnishings and Stella and Ruby hosted 25 participants for the Harbor Helpers ornament-making event, a youth-led initiative benefiting Hampton Community Outreach. The girls spent the evening crafting unique ornaments, which will be sold to raise funds for families facing hardship on the East End.
“Harbor Helpers embodies everything we value about Sag Harbor: neighbors helping neighbors, young people stepping up to make a difference,” said a representative from Fisher’s Home Furnishings.
Local artist Eve Behar and friends joined the December 12, displaying one-of-a-kind ceramics and gifts alongside the Harbor Helpers ornaments, which were available for purchase. That same weekend, the girls were at Stella and Ruby, continuing to sell their handmade creations while supplies lasted.
Each ornament is handcrafted, offering both a festive decoration and a reminder of the impact young people can have when they work together. Proceeds from the sales will go entirely to Hampton Community Outreach, supporting programs for East End families throughout the year.
The ornaments are available for purchase at Fisher’s Home Furnishings and Stella and Ruby, located at 144 Main Street in Sag Harbor.
