Danny Cheng will open “Yummylicious,” a frozen yogurt shop at 2-8 Main Street in the building known locally as Fort Apache, this summer, however he will first need approval for a sign for his new business from the Sag Harbor Village Historic Preservation and Architectural Review Board.
According to Sag Harbor Village Building Department Secretary Doris Alvarez, Cheng has been asked to submit revised plans for his sign, which will be reviewed at the board’s March 26 meeting.
In other ARB news, Raymond Romano was approved for a proposed fence at 39 Hamilton Street, 17 Madison Restoration LLC was approved for the renovation of an existing main building and reconstruction of the rear of the structure as well as a new covered porch at 17 Madison Street and Jan and George LLC were approved for a new sign “JANGEORGE” at 11 Madison Street. Elizabeth Bowser was also approved for an entry porch at 25 Liberty Street, Jacalyn Fuchs was approved for a new “Salon 66” sign at 66 Main Street and Neal Simon and Joyce Kleinberg were approved for the demolition of a structure at 36 John Street and the construction of a new 1,951-square-foot house, swim spa, dock and stairs. Catarina Raacke was also approved to paint the outside of her 27 Union Street home.
