Suffolk County Police have arrested two men who fled the scene after their vehicles struck and killed a former Sag Harbor resident as she crossed Wicks Road in Brentwood early Monday, April 15. Alison Pfefferkorn, 41, was taken to South Shore Hospital in Bay Shore, where she was pronounced dead. Police said Pfefferkorn was crossing the road at 5:10 a.m. when she was struck by a southbound 2020 Toyota Highlander that was driven by Luis Vasquez, 59, of Brentwood. Police said Vasquez fled the scene but was arrested later that morning and charged with leaving the scene of an accident ...

SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — A man operating an ice cream truck, from which he was selling food, in the parking lot at Mashashimuet Park was ticketed early Sunday afternoon after Village Police determined that he did not have a village-issued peddling permit. SAG HARBOR VILLAGE — Village Police responded to report of a large loose dog on Hempstead Street on Sunday morning. They located the dog, which had no tags or collar.
