William John Everett of Sag Harbor, who many will remember as “Bill,” died on August 2. He was 70.
He was a lifelong resident of Sag Harbor, born on August 14, 1952, to William and Helen Everett.
Many will remember him from the time that he spent working in the family business, as a mechanic at Noyac Service Station. Starting from a young age, and joining his father after graduating from Farmingdale State College, he continued to run the business until his retirement in 2013.
He had a love of fishing, and for many years could be found spending time on the shores of Clam Island.
He was predeceased by his brother, David Everett. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Debbie Everett; children, Christine and Eric Miller of Boston, Massachusetts, and Katie Everett of Syracuse; his sister, Gayle Ratcliffe of Hampton Bays; and his brother Charles Everett of Bridgewater, New Jersey.
Services were entrusted to Yardley & Pino Funeral Home of Sag Harbor.
