I wanted to make a brief comment about the last Southampton Village Board meeting and, in particular, a resolution put forth by Gina Arresta.
Although I was not in attendance, I was duly informed that Ms. Arresta is attempting to establish a contingency reserve fund (“a rainy day fund”), which, as its name suggests, puts money away for future use when emergencies occur.
I have been a resident in Southampton for over 50 years, and from where I’m sitting, this sounds like a good move.
“Shout out” to Ms. Arresta. Set politics aside and get this done.
