Adam Webb
Adam Webb of Saratoga Springs and Hampton Bays died Saturday, June 11, in Juneau, Alaska from a hiking accident. He was 30.
Born in Hamilton on April 16, 1981, to Jerry and Elaine Webb, Mr. Webb was one to live life to the fullest with his curiosity and desire for understanding everybody and everything, his family said. He was always one to try new things that most people wouldn’t consider; from creating balloon animals to origami and lock picking, to name just a few. He was always one to be the center of attention no matter the group and he was able to touch many lives, family said.
Mr. Webb recently graduated from the University of Buffalo with a master’s in business administration and was committed to a tour with the Peace Corps in Africa, which can now never reach fruition.
To say he was loved would be a sparse comment on his spirit, his camaraderie and the enduring touch he left on those he knew, family said.
In addition to his parents who live in Hampton Bays, he is survived by his brother, Matthew Webb; aunts and uncles, Maurine and Jack Webb of Baldwinsville, Carol and Jeff Webb of Camden, Melba and Charles Hopkins of Bohemia, and Robert Coyles of Plainview; cousins, Todd, James and Jason Webb of Baldwinsville, and Kelly, Cortney and Jena Webb of Camden; and his grandmother, Mary Coyles of Bohemia; and an extended family in Saratoga Springs, including the Fays and many very special friends.
A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at the United Methodist Church in Saratoga Springs, followed by a gathering in honor of his life at the Saratoga Boat House.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Saratoga Rowing Association—which played a very important role in Adam’s high school years—543 Union Avenue, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
