Alex “Biggie” Spink of Hampton Bays died on September 20, after a long health battle. He was 38.

He was born in Southampton in 1984. After graduating high school he embarked on a career in security for local venues such as Neptune’s Beach Club, Dream Hamptons and the Beach Bar to name a few, where he formed strong bonds of friendship. He eventually settled into working in the pest control field and later started a successful company with a partner.

He was best known for his hugs and smiles, his family said, his beyond generous heart, his joy for life and the wisdom he gave out freely. He had many deep and meaningful friendships through his early childhood to adult life. His fierce love for his family and theirs for him was an unbreakable bond, his family said.

He was the easiest man to love, his family said. His legacy will be carried on by all whose lives he touched. His genuine and positive personality strengthened everyone he met.

He is survived by his mother Faith (Riskin) Spink; brothers Aaron and Russell Spink; grandfather Robert Riskin; Niece Hannah Spink; and nephew Joshua Spink. He was predeceased by his father, Arthur D. Spink.
