Americo V. Gallo
Americo V. Gallo, a resident of Hampton Bays for 43 years, died at his home on November 16. He was 77. Mr. Gallo and his wife Karen (Ceselka), who survives him, were married for 54 years. Prior to moving to Hampton Bays, the family lived in Astoria. Mr. Gallo worked as the owner and barber at the LaGuardia Airport Barber Shop in Queens. Upon moving to Hampton Bays, he became the owner of Ricky’s Barber Shop in Sag Harbor. He and his wife enjoyed ballroom dancing and Latin dance. He was also a musician and artist.
Mr. Gallo is survived by a daughter Ramona A. Gallo of Hampton Bays; two sisters, Maria and Chiraina Gallo; and a brother, Guerino Gallo and his wife, all living in Italy. He is also survived by his mother-in-law, Rose Ceselka of Southampton; and sister-in-law, Katherine Ceselka of Florida.
A service and entombment was held at Plain Lawn Cemetery in Hicksville on Monday, November 19.
