Americo Rick" Posillico Dies At 94"

Americo Posillico

Americo “Rick” Posillico of Arizona, Remsenburg and formerly of Farmingdale died after a brief illness on July 3. He was 94.

Mr. Posillico was a World War II veteran who was drafted in 1941. He served in the U.S. Army Corps in an armored tank battalion during the Battle of the Bulge in Bastogne, Belgium. He was later decorated for his bravery in action by the U.S. After the war, he started J.D. Posillico, now Posillico Group, in 1946 along with his brother and Virginia Seeley. He married Anne Donahue in 1948.

He is survived by his children, Karen Guido and her husband Phillip, and Donna Posillico of Arizona, Robert Posillico of Connecticut, daughter-in-law Sarah Posillico of Westhampton; grandchildren, Donna, Andrea, Christina, Matthew, and Katie. He was predeceased by his wife and a son, Richard Posillico.

A private memorial service was held at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Farmingdale on Thursday, July 21.
