Andrew Sheahan of Remsenburg died on August 10 after battling cardiopulmonary disease and kidney failure. He was 49.
He graduated from Westhampton Beach High School and from Hobart University. From his time at Hobart, he made many lifelong friends whom he had contact with throughout his life.
Working for the family business, Sheahan Communications, he contributed to its House magazine and the Builder & Remodeler newspaper. It was there that he covered much of the building trades on Long Island, reporting on organizations like LIBI, NARI and the NKBA.
He was an avid hiker who liked camping. He liked to ride motorcycles and enjoyed traveling. He had many friends and was know for his warmth and smile.
He is survived by his mother Christine Sheahan; his brother Denis Sheahan and his wife Andrea and their two children Denis and Hana; step-nephews Dimitris and George Niflis.
Burial Mass will take place on Friday, August 20, at 11 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church in Westhampton Beach.
